The United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County

The United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County is a non-profit organization that provides a safe, positive and enriching environment for youth between the ages of 5-18.Currently, we have four main Clubs, six satellite afterschool educational operations, and a 55 acre residential camp. Our first branch opened in Goleta (1952) followed by Santa Barbara Westside (1962), Carpinteria (1967), Lompoc (1988), and Camp Whittier (1988).Through our wide spread county presence we directly serve in upwards of 4,500 youth in Santa Barbara County annually.

We provide a professionally trained staff to insure the development of positive self-esteem, proper values, and healthy life skills through constructive educational programs. We strive to encourage each child to reach their full potential.

Computers for Youth

CFY is a national educational non-profit organization launched in 1999 that is dedicated to improving the home learning environment of low-income school children. Their work is built on the belief that the home holds the greatest untapped potential for improving children’s academic and life-long success. CFY partners with schools to improve the educational resources available in children’s homes, enhance parent-child interaction around learning and help teachers make powerful links between the classroom and the home.

Founded in 1983, Starlight Children’s Foundation is an international nonprofit organization dedicated to helping seriously ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities.

The Mann Foundation

In New York City, The Mann Foundation is aligned with two of the leading organizations in research and funding to find a cure for Alzheimer’s: the Mount Sinai Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA). The vital work being produced through these fine organizations gives us all hope and assurance that someday soon there will be a cure.

Familial Dysautonomia Foundation

The Dysautonomia Foundation is a nonprofit public charity that supports medical treatment, research, public awareness and social services for the benefit of people afflicted with FD. The Foundation has established the world’s only two FD treatment centers and is the largest single source of funding for research and treatment specifically for the benefit of people with FD.
