How Our Salesperson Course Works

What:  You need to finish 12 sessions to accumulate 45 hours of class-room study.  Each session is 3 to 4 hours long.  Sessions are independent to one another and you can take in any order...there is NO 1 through 12 and you can start with any session that fits your schedule. 
When:  The school is open 7 days a week. We offer morning, afternoon and evening sessions. Please check schedule below for exact times.

How:  You need to finish 12 different sessions to complete this course. You can take sessions in any order for your convenience. You can finish in one week or take up UNTIL JUNE 30TH to complete the course.  Upon registration, you can start immediately with any session number.
Options and Prices:  You can choose from 3 options:  Basic Package($285), Premium Package($325) and Professional Package($420).

 

NOTE: Except for holidays the course will be given EVERYDAY, seven days a week for your CONVENIENCE. For your convenience, you can also take any sessions that you have not taken at either Long Island location. Another advantage of the flexible schedule is that if you took the course with a fixed schedule as is given everywhere else and you have to miss a class you will not have enough hours to complete the course to obtain a license and typically you will have to take the class all over again.

Your Five Steps to Getting Licensed

1	Register for class at New York Real Estate Institute, 139 West 35th street, 2nd Floor in Manhattan, register online or in person.
2	Start the course any day  of the week am or pm, finish 12 different sessions and the school exam to obtain your School Certificate from New York Real Estate Institute.
3	Successfully complete both the N.Y. State Test (a one hour exam given each Tuesday in lower Manhattan) and the New York Real Estate School Test, then you will meet the licensing requirements.  Upon passing of the School Completion Test, NYREI will issue you a Certificate of Completion.
4	Find a real estate office "sponsoring broker" where you will work and be supervised as a salesperson.
5	File your license application in person with the Department of State in lower Manhattan or send it to Albany for processing and receive it by mail at your Broker's Office. You are now a Real Estate Salesperson!

• Be 18 or older
• No Felony*
• 45-hour Salesperson Course at NYREI
• Passing of NYREI School Completion Test
• Passing of the state test
• Broker Sponsorship

How long does it take to finish Salesperson Course at NYREI?

Salesperson Licensing Course is a 45-hour course(CHANGING TO 75 HOURS STARTING JULY 1ST), that is broken up into 12 sessions.
Each session is 3 to 4 hours long.  Each session is independent of each other and can be taken in any order.  The quickest you will finish is in 6 days, taking 2 sessions a day (FAST TRACK).  Our unique schedule allows you to begin classes at any time. Students are allowed to take 4.5 hours of absence.  Here are some models of how you finish 12 sessions at NYREI:

1	Fast Track Start Tuesday of any week, finish on Sunday (one week program)
2	Evenings Four weeks, meet on Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday, 6 pm to 9:30 pm
3	Mornings – Two weeks
4	Afternoons – Two weeks
5	Weekends Three consecutive weekends, meet on Saturday & Sunday, 9 am to 5 pm
7	Saturday or Sunday ONLY – 5-6 weeks
8	“Mix & Match” – Plan your own schedule Combine mornings, afternoons, and evenings in any sequence (you do not have to start with class #1) that is convenient for you, however you cannot take the same class twice, you will receive no credit.

 

What tests do I need to take to get a license?

The School Completion Test, which is given every Monday at 12:00 at NYC location as weel as tests dates for nights and weekends (please check schedule). The test is also given at all other locations. However, you are able to schedule to take the test at a different time.
The New York State Test, which is given every Tuesday at 123 William Street. Test fee: $15. The link is above to sign up for the Department of State test

 

NYREI Guarantees
