Objectives

This course will cover the body of federal law prohibiting
discrimination in housing and real-estate related
transactions, with a particular emphasis on Title VIII of
the Civil Rights Act of 1968, as amended. Topics will
include fair housing law as applied to the rental housing,
real estate sales, mortgage lending, homeowners' insurance
and publicly subsidized housing markets, as well as to
residential racial segregation.
